KATHERINE WEST KATHERINE WEST is a poet, teacher, and editor. In 2005 she foundedGreen Fuse Poetic Arts Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to nourishing poetry and connecting Grass Roots poets with their community through publishing, readings, and workshops. She also teaches poetry workshops for Green Fuse. She has published two poetry collections Scimitar Dreams (2006)and The Bone Train (2008), and in 2010 completed a poetic memoir exploring the death and rebirth of the mother essence in our families, our communities, and our world. Katherine West has recorded a CD version of this work (The Frozen Midnight) with her husband, slide guitarist Jeff Finer, and jazz musicians Aakash Mittal and Josh Moore—now available at www.poetwest.com. Her new chapbook, Eve and Adam, will be published by Pudding House Press in October of 2011. . |
